The clip shows the idiot staining a napkin with fake blood before entering a carriage and saying: “Folks, let’s see what fake blood, unhealthy look and coronavirus rumours can do. Let’s go!”
The footage then shows him coughing into the napkin as other passengers can be seen looking in horror at the stain of “blood”.
But in an even more stupid move, he coughs at terrified passengers who begin to move away in terror.
The man was found and arrested after the video was posted online.
Police spokesman Saltanat Azirbek told local media: “The clip, which violates all moral and ethical standards, was spotted on the Internet during police monitoring. The young man was identified and detained.
“He was charged with hooliganism by the court and placed to detention jail for 10 days.”
Before sentencing on Monday, the troublemaker filmed another video and apologised to everybody he had offended
“I did not mean to scare anybody. I do not suffer from coronavirus. It was just an innocent prank,” he said.
“I wish you good health. Take care.”
Local health authorities have confirmed four cases of the COVID-19 in the city.
According to local media, nine people in total have been diagnosed with the virus in Kazakhstan.
